I have pretty good teeth. I’ve not needed a cavity filled since I was 12 years old. My wisdom teeth came in straight and without any problems, so there was no need to have them removed. At almost 44 years old, I still have them. The only ongoing problem I’ve ever had with my mouth is bleeding gums. My gums have bled every time I brush my teeth since I was probably 17 years old. I brush twice and floss twice a day, and still my gums bleed. My dentist suggested that the bleeding gums are a result of the multiple sclerosis. I can’t explain how he came to that conclusion. I only know that he did.
I’ve tried neem, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory herbs on my gums, rinses designed to stop gingivitis– you name it, I’ve probably tried it.
I had some mild success stopping the bleeding gums with oil pulling. I used coconut oil because of its antiviral and antibiotic properties. It helped quiet a bit. But, if you’ve ever done oil pulling you know it’s kind of time-consuming. I am lucky if I have 25 minutes to get ready in the morning. I can’t devote 5-10 minutes to swishing oil around in my mouth.
A few weeks ago, my husband left the colloidal silver on the edge of the bathroom sink. As I was brushing my teeth I wondered what would happen if I mixed a drop or two of CS with my toothpaste one each day.
I’ve been brushing with CS in my toothpaste every day for about 2 weeks. I can happily report that my gums no longer bleed at all when I brush my teeth. My gums are no longer sore, either. Of course, CS is a strong anti bacterial, anti fungal, and anti viral, so it makes sense that it would work, because it will kill the bacteria in your mouth that cause gingivitis. It just didn’t occur to me until a few weeks ago.
