How I Found Natural Health

When I was 14, I started having muscle spasms, and other random symptoms. Doctors couldn't find anything wrong.

Symptoms were random and unpredictable. Stuttering, breathing problems, muscle spasms, brain fog, pain, fatigue, and others. I never knew when it would hit, or how long it would last.

As I became an adult, I was unable to physically keep up with others my age. Most of the time I was fine, but then these random symptoms would make it impossible to for me to function.

By 21 years old, I spent almost as much time in the hospital as I did out. Still, doctors said there was nothing wrong with me other than severe asthma. Friends and family treated me like it was all in my head.

After my 2nd child was born, I was hit with unbearable joint pain and overwhelming fatigue. After yet another hospital stay, and countless tests, the doctors found nothing.

My marriage ended, and I was left with two young children to care for. I struggled to hold down a job and raise my girls. I continued to decline physically, but I forced myself to push through for my kids.

Doctors continued testing, but found nothing. They tried to prescribe a variety of psychiatric and anxiety medications, but I knew my problems were physical, so I refused.

Finally, after 21 long, difficult years I was diagnosed with Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis.

I had a name for my illness. But the only "treatments" doctors offered me were medications to deaden my nerves, opiates for the pain, and the suggestion to enter a nursing home. I was 35 years old.

I set out to learn everything I could about the immune system, neurological system, MS, and health in general. I found a group of people on-line who were using natural medicine to manage and reverse the symptoms of their MS.

I healed. As I began healing, I learned more. And continued healing. It was difficult, but I got my life back!

I earned degrees in Natural Health, Naturopathy, as well as certificates in herbal medicine, Reiki, and two different types of health coaching. Now, I use my knowledge and experience to accompany others in their walk back to health and wholeness.
